MEET OUR YOUTH MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Allison and her husband, Peter, joined Mayflower shortly after being married here 18 years ago. In addition to being active in her children’s schools, she has served as a Sunday School teacher, Midweek volunteer and part-time cook, Confirmation Partner, and the chair of the Congregational Events Committee at Mayflower. Allison had meaningful experiences in youth groups as a teenager and is hoping to create those kinds of moments for the youth of Mayflower.
MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH
Sundays @ Mayflower
Students in middle school meet on Sunday evenings at Mayflower for youth group and choir. At youth group, students play games, get to know new friends, pray, and spend time talking about the evening’s lesson. We hold game nights and have other exciting off-site activities as well.
6:00-7:00 p.m. – Middle School Choir Rehearsal
7:00-8:00 p.m. – Middle School Youth Group
CONFIRMATION AT MAYFLOWER
Students who are in the 8th grade and above are eligible to participate in the Confirmation process. Faith Discovery Classes for Confirmation begin in February and run for eight weeks. Together, the Confirmation class participates in a service project and engages in several group activities, and climbs the Mayflower bell tower! Each student individually writes a Statement of Faith at the culmination of this process, before he/she is confirmed into membership at Mayflower Congregational Church.

HIGH SCHOOL BREAKFAST CLUB
Tuesdays @ Wolfgang’s
A breakfast devotions program for all high school students (9th-12th grade). We meet for early bird specials in the back room at Wolfgang’s Restaurant in Eastown each Tuesday morning, and enjoy each other’s company over breakfast while listening to a Bible lesson. Students receive the week’s verse on a card to carry with them as a reminder until we meet again.
HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER MISSION TRIP
Students entering 9th grade through just-graduated high school seniors are eligible for the High School Mission Trip, held over one week each summer (typically in June). Sites change yearly, and projects differ from helping with meal programs for the homeless, construction projects, and more. We spend a week growing closer to God, and closer together as a youth group. Recent past trips have included Atlanta, GA; Costa Rica; Washington, D.C.; Chicago and Providence, RI.
