HS LUNCH BUNCH

Mondays at José Babushka’s in Gaslight

A breakfast devotions program for all high school students (9th-12th grade). We meet for early bird specials in the back room at Wolfgang’s Restaurant in Eastown each Tuesday morning, and enjoy each other’s company over breakfast while listening to a Bible lesson. Students receive the week’s verse on a card to carry with them as a reminder until we meet again.

HS BREAKFAST CLUB

Tuesdays at Wolfgang’s in Eastown
6:30-7:30am

Every Tuesday morning, high schoolers meet in the back room at Wolfgang’s. Over pancakes, bacon and hot chocolate, they hear a brief devotion and take time to encourage each other for the week ahead. Transportation back to school is provided by adult leaders as well as junior and senior students.

HS SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

High schoolers are involved in our congregational life as Bible Alive and Midweek volunteers.

They also participate in our worship services by reading scripture, singing in the choirs, playing instruments, and greeting before worship.

HS MISSION TRIP

Every summer our high school youth participate in a week-long mission trip. Recently the group traveled Providence, Rhode Island and to Rome, Italy for an international trip.

Details for Summer 2020 will be announced Fall 2019.

HS SUMMER MISSION TRIP – 2019 Rome Italy

Summer 2019, 32 youth and 7 adults will walk in the footsteps of Paul and study the origins of the early Christians in Rome.  The group will then stay at Casa Cares, a retreat center of the Waldensian Church outside of Florence, where they will learn about Christian responses to contemporary issues like the Climate Crisis and the Plight of Displaced Peoples.
