CONFIRMATION AT MAYFLOWER

January-March

Students who are in the 8th grader and above are invited to participate in Confirmation classes. Through weekly classes, service projects, worship, and involvement in Congregational Life, participants will have the opportunity to learn about basic Christian beliefs, to explore what it means to live as a Christian and to commit to belonging to a congregation.

Classes meet on Sundays – January through March.

Those who wish to be confirmed will become members at Mayflower on a Sunday in mid-March.

MS SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Middle schoolers are involved in our congregational life as Bible Alive and Midweek volunteers. They also participate in our worship services by reading scripture, singing in the choirs, playing instruments, greeting before worship and serving as acolytes.

Every summer our high school youth participate in a week-long mission trip. Recently the group traveled Providence, Rhode Island and to Rome, Italy for an international trip.

HS SUMMER MISSION TRIP – 2019 Rome Italy

Summer 2019, 32 youth and 7 adults will walk in the footsteps of Paul and study the origins of the early Christians in Rome.  The group will then stay at Casa Cares, a retreat center of the Waldensian Church outside of Florence, where they will learn about Christian responses to contemporary issues like the Climate Crisis and the Plight of Displaced Peoples.
