ELEVATE / YOUTH
UPDATE!! - We are back at it!!
SLEDDING THIS SUNDAY! 1/24
We never thought we’d say this, but we’re excited about having enough snow for sledding this weekend!
Sunday’s weather is looking perfect for an afternoon of sledding, hot cocoa, and cookies.
Meet us at Manhattan Park from 3-4pm.
(Please drop off and pick up from the parking lot off Cascade Road.)
Even more exciting is the recent addition of patio heaters which will allow us to gather at church on Sundays with our Elevate groups.
We are still working out the details and weather remains factor, but if all goes well,
we would like to meet on Sunday afternoons, beginning next week, January 31.
Josh will also have “choir” during this time.
(More details in next Friday’s email.)
IMMERSE into Lent!
Looking ahead, our youth groups are going to begin a Bible study for Lent, called Immerse.
While the entire church is invited to participate in this study, the youth will be working from a condensed “family guide” version. Booklets will be handed out at our gatherings on January 31 and February 7.
(We’ll share more information as we approach Lent.)
Gone are the days of classrooms parties for these kids, which is a relief to parents but
we thought it would be fun for the kids to revisit those days with a Valentine exchange.
We will plan to do this at church on Sunday, February 7.
Participation is optional. Plan for 20 valentines.
Sunday, February 21 from 5:45-7:45pm
Mayflower families and youth are invited to Tarry Hall Roller Skating Rink for some roller-skating fun!
Admission is $5 and includes skate rental.
Concessions will be available as allowed by state guidelines.
Here is our calendar for the next few weeks:
