Mayflower Youth Programs

Sundays @ Mayflower
6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Students in middle and high school meet on Sunday evenings at Mayflower for choir practice and youth group. At youth group, students play games, get to know new friends, pray, and spend time talking about the evening’s lesson. We hold game nights and have other exciting off-site activities as well!

Tuesdays @ Wolfgang’s
6:30 – 7:30 a.m.
A breakfast devotions program for all high school students (9th-12th grade). We meet for early bird specials in the back room at Wolfgang’s Restaurant in Eastown each Tuesday morning, and enjoy each other’s company over breakfast while listening to a Bible lesson. Students receive the week’s verse on a card to carry with them as a reminder until we meet again.

Sundays @ Mayflower
beginning February 4, 2018
9:15 – 10:15 a.m.
Students who are in the 8th grade and above are eligible to participate in the Confirmation process. Faith Discovery Classes for Confirmation begin in February and run for eight weeks. We’ll begin with a Kick-Off Brunch after worship on January 14. Together, the Confirmation class participates in a service project and engages in several group activities, and climbs the Mayflower bell tower! Each student individually writes a Statement of Faith at the culmination of this process, before he/she is confirmed into membership at Mayflower Congregational Church.

Wednesdays @ Midweek
 6:00- 6:30 p.m.
On Wednesday nights from 6:00-6:30 p.m., after Midweek family dinnertime and before choir practice, the 3rd-5th grade youth group meets in the Chapel and Atrium. It is a time to come together for friendship and learning more about who God is and what faith is all about. Our theme this year is “In the Beginning.”

Students entering 9th grade through just-graduated high school seniors are eligible for the High School Mission Trip, held over one week each summer (typically in June). Sites change yearly, and projects differ from helping with meal programs for the homeless, construction projects, and more. We spend a week growing closer to God, and closer together as a youth group. Recent past trips have included Atlanta, GA; Costa Rica; Washington, D.C.; and Chicago.
